I forgot, sorry! Was wondering about treatment. Am taking Lyrica and it helped abit in the beginning, but now seems I have too take more and more. Is there anything more that can be done for the pain? Dr. says no way to fix damaged nerves. Sitting , standing or lying in bed am in pain. Pain gets alot worse when lying down. Have also noticed that I don't care aboutgoing any out or doing anything. Could this be from the meds?

I fell at work almost 4 years ago and have had chronic pain in lower back and left leg since. Torn nerve and ligaments in left ankle and damaged two nerves in lower back. always in pain. They didn't operate on ankle for nearly 3 years and now have sharp pains that come and go like a knife in ankle, top of foot in completely numb. Unable to stand or walk for more than 20 minutes at a time. Have not been able to sleep for more than 2 to 3 hours at any given time, pain is severe. Feeling like dr's. are working for insurence company instead of patient.

Perhaps you could answer a few questions?

1. What meds are you on?
2. What is your age?
3. Does anything help?
4. Are you still employed?
5. What do the doctors propose to do next?

Thanks. The answers to these questions will help filter out irrelevant responses.
