We have a little problem with my meds. The other day we went to Stoneham MA to she her very sick mother. My wife put a bunch of percs in one bottle and the oxys in another. The bottle with the perc's. We cant find. I will have to cut back. But i am more worried about if they do a pill check. What should i do.
Sorry,

Goodness!! I am so very sorry this has happened to you. I'm asking a stupid question.... have you looked every where?? And look again. If you cannot find it you have no choice but to call your PMP.

I went to a flea market in FL and placed my narcotics in my purse...which my husband carried for me.  When we returned to the Condo my meds were gone. I called my prescribing physician....I worried sick. She nicely said "This happens...someone probably stole it out of your purse."  She replaced my RX without blinking an eye. So please call your PMP.

Good luck Grampy,

I think Klonopin is controlled but not in the same schedule as oxycontin or oxycodone.  I used to take it and it was not refillable early if going out of town, etc.
I would definetly call the doctor and let him know what happened.  Like the others said, a one time mistake shouldn't be a big problem.

Klonopin isn't a controlled substance, is it?

You know, rather than cutting back, why not call them now and see what happens?  Don't ask them to replace it, just tell them that you wanted to be honest that you lost part of your meds.  I assume that you have a long-term relationship with this practice and good compliance?  You might be surprised.

Anyway, that's probably what I'd try, since I have been demonstrating for long enough that I have no desire to play games with my meds.

I agree with Mollyrae. Once I dropped a bottle of Klonopin in the sink and it got all mushy. I called the pharmacy and they replaced it. I think it was part of a bottle but still we all make mistakes. I'm sure if it happens all the time they will not refill but one time should be no biggie.
good luck,

When do you go back to the doctor? They normally do not call you in just to check/count your tablets?  I would not worry to much at this point...

Hi Grampy:

My suggestion to you if your Clinic does a pill count is to tell them the truth. In fact, you may want to call them and tell them what has occurred. This way, it will be documented. Tell your Clinic or Doctor that you will be able to get by til the next refill date although it's going to be hard. I'm sure that he will understand. This is what I would do. In fact, I have done just that quite some time ago. It only happened once and my Doctor understood. I think that if it were to happen often then there would be reason to worry, especially if you were asking for early refills which you are not.

I hope that things work out for you.
My best,
Mollyrae
