Hello and welcome to the pain management forum. In regards to your test, you did also take codiene which is a big problem when you sign a contract with your PM provider. I do know that there are some over the counter medications that do bring up false readings in regards to the UA testing. I do not have any experience with this, but you may want to tell your doctor that you took cough syrup near the time of your test. The pain management doctors are very strict with their rules and must be followed to a capital T. That includes the codiene with the cough syrup. You are not suppose to obtain any other controlled substances from anywhere, but your PM provider. If I were you, I'd start looking for another provider just in case this one decides to let you go. Good luck and I'm sorry your going through this.
Hi. I'm sorry that you're going through this. Did you tell your PM doctor that you took the cough syrup? I looked up the ingredients in your cough syrup. It can cause false positives for THC and for amphetamines. I didn't see anything about methadone though.
