Thank you for your reply. I'm new to this and just figured out how to get my replies! This could take awhile...After many many surgeries and years of pain medication, my pm decided to try me on the 25 fentanyl patches. It has been 10 days and I have yet to have relief. I have been reading as much info as I can find as the patch is new to me.  From what I have read it may not be strong enough. Idk. I go back on the15th to my pm. Should I do what I have been doing and play the waiting game, or should I call?  All I know is that I'm hurting like crazy and getting NO relief at this time. Any information would be helpful.

If you are just starting on the patches it will take about month to get the full effects of the patch. Hopefully your doctor gave you instructions if you are switching over from a different narcotic. You should follow the directions carefully. If your having a lot of pain you should communicate this to your doctor as well. There may be something else you can take or he can adjust your doseage if he's aware of how you are doing. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
