Naproxen is in a group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). All NSAIDs can be hard on your gastrointestinal track. Be sure to take it as prescribed by your physician and/or pharmacist. This drug reduces swelling and inflammation and therefore should reduce your pain.
Some of the side effects caused by most NSAIDs, including Naproxen include, constipation; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; gas; headache; heartburn; nausea; stomach upset; stuffy nose. There are others and again you should check with your pharmacist.
