neck pain

I fell on my neck while trying to do a handstand and my neck clicked and ever since its been clicking and  it hurts to tilt my head back and towards the evening it hurts to turn it left and right or if im leaning back on a surface it starts to hurt  i went to the doctor andd he gave me ibuprofen and it does not seem to work i told him this but he told me its not a big deal but is it?

We told the Doctor that my osteopath wanted me to have an X-ray to be on the safe side as much as she disagreed to it she sent me off to have one the results showed nothing yet they say nothings wrong my physio therapist told me to go to doctors again if i went dizzy and last night i did really bad and after i started vomitting so im going to see my doctor tomorrow and if they send me home saying nothing wrong i'm changin doctor.

thanks alot for your advice i think i might try and get an MRI. Im going to see my doctor tomorrow due to the fact i was lying down half asleep but pains rushed to my head i went dizzy and I could not move or call for help then later i starte vomiting so i wil ask if i can have an MRI thanks again

Hi!  Welcome to the Pain Management forum.  Although we're not doctors we are all chronic pain patients.  We support each other through advice based on our own experiences.

Apparently you're doctor didn't listen.  Try another one.  Perhaps a neurologist or spinal specialist.  You probably need a MRI.  In the meantime, if this happened within the past 48 hours, you might try ice on it.  If it's not that recent, use heat.  And be judicious with the Ibuprofen.  It will make mincemeat of your stomach.  And next time remember to tuck and roll!

I swear some of these doctors out there are a real piece of work. Did he even bother to send you for a simple Xray?
