Hi! When i went off Norco the Doc. gave me Clonodine and Klonopin which worked great 4th day i was pretty good and stayed off for 2weeks. I had to go back on again because of the pain but i could of stayed off them if it wasnt for the pain. I been on Tramadol also and had the worst W/D i did not work for 4weeks it's a terrible med. Good luck. F1

I only had 8 tramadol pills available to me when I quit taking the hydrocodone.  I took four the first day and four the second day then none.  I took them to help me get through the first two days of wd and it helped a little bit but I still felt very bad.

Just like 6string, Im a recreational user, dont have a legitimate reason for taking any of this stuff and also like 6string, tapering just isnt an option for me.  I didnt have the willpower to make myself cut back.

I dont feel qualified to give you advice on how to taper with the help of tramadol, other than do be very careful with that stuff, like domino said it is addictive.

Best of luck and much love

I tried to taper and it didnt work for me. I always felt like I was standing on a ledge held on only by a string. I just had to jump and suffer the withdrawals. Difference between you and I is you had a legitimate reason to be taking pain meds. I on the other hand took them recreationally. I guess just trying to feel a void. Tramadol is how I got started using again this last time. It can be addictive too.

Tramadol is very addicting and that has to be tapered due to seizures that can happen if you just quit taking them.   I will send avisg a pm and have her check your thread out.  She has alot of knowledge on tramadol.  Are you still having lots of pain?        sara
