Yes Nikki I take meds for my chronic and disabling pain.

Just so you know, an MRI or X-ray are not good diagnostic tests for SIJD. Because my SIJD is so advanced it does show some abnormalities on an x-ray but it and other tests were/are (as usual) inconclusive for SIJD. It requires a specific injection process to diagnosis SIJD.

Hope that helps.

Thank yall for the feedback! I have not had x-rays or MRIs done on it yet but i plan to for sure. i did see my doctor about this but he didnt run any test. he only told me "It Happens Sometimes". I think i should see another doctor over it though. :)
*TUCK> Do you have to take Meds. for that? (SIJD)

Indeed it sounds like to me that that is a pinched nerve somewhere in your back and it is having issues healing. I would consult a doctor as soon as you can so they can treat you for this. Nerve pain can be very harsh.

Good Luck :D

Hi Nikki,

Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post!

A not so uncommon problem that develops with pregnancy is called Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction (SIJD). It comes from the spread of your pelvic girdle and the weight that it is placed upon it.

One of the symptoms of SIJD is sciatica. Sciatica is a symptom and not a diagnosis. I would ask your physician is this may be your problem. It caught and treated early it can be just a blip in your medical history.  If left undiagnosed and untreated it can become a major problem.

If you have specific questions regarding SIJD please feel free to ask. Unfortunately I have SIJD.

Obviously there are other things that can cause sciatica. I cannot diagnosis you.... just wanted you to be aware of the possibility. I'll look forward to hearing from you again nad wish you the best.

Take Care,
~Tuck
