Hi richardgirdley928, Have you had bloodwork done by a physician lately? You may need to see a Rheumatologist to determine what is causing the inflammation and pain. Is the pain throbbing, stabbing, burning, tenderness or all of the above? Do you know if you might be suffering from one or combination of inflammatory conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Lupus, GOUT, Tendonitis, Bursitis, Fibromyalgia, etc. There are blood tests to determine how much inflammation is present.
Lastly, try to avoid foods that cause inflammation and eat those foods that are considered anti-inflammatory - although it is controversial I have found a good diet can help minimize swelling and ease some pain. God bless and I pray you will be feeling better.
Unfortunately no one can diagnose you over the net. Please make an appt. to see your Doctor.
