post -surgical clips, pain

With all the posts re: post-surgical clips and pains, I never saw a firm answer.
Can the doctors remove the surgical clips and substitute something else.
There was something else used before these clips, correct?
I have continued burning and pain at the exact site of the clips post gallbladder surgery.
I can no longer live with this; it controls my life.
Doctors cannot be correct when they say these could never cause a problem or bother a patient. They are foreign objects made of metal inside of soft tissue.  Merely pushing against ribs or soft tissue could certainly cause discomfort, burning (at that very specific site).
Can someone (a doctor) respond to this?
Thanks,
Mandy

Did you ever find your answer? I have recurring bouts of right side discomfort shooting pains, etc since I had my gallbladder removed.

Have you looked through the National Institutes of Health to see if any studies have revealed problems associated with the clips?

Often, doctors will try to dismiss your complaints unless you address them with figures or research supporting your position.

I assume you have already spoken to your doctor/sugeron concerning this matter. If so it is time for a second opinion as you should NOT be having this type of discomfort with this.
I am sure there are other products they can use as everyone is different and some can not handle the metal.
I will do some research and get back to you as far as the availability of other products:)
