Yeah it usually is and I wouldnt delay getting to your doc/hospital, however if you have no luck and its not that then consider, renal colic and kidney stones, gallstones/gallbladder as well as much more rarely a thoracic disc herniation at t8 to t12 would be overlooked by most docs as so rare.. I had the same thing and it turned out that I am in the one in two million people with thoracic hernations pressing on the nerves that innervate the right abdominal area! It causes the same pain as appendicitis etc. Good luck.
Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!
