Hi Ummpi,
Most medical issues get worse with age. I have massive adhesions (scar tissue). It's different with different ppl - and there is some controversy over long long adhesions form.
What can occur is these adhesions become a part of our body. Other tissues grow into or on them, blood supply and a nerve network often form and the adhesion becomes an entity by itself. At least that's what's occurred in my situation. Obviously that can produce problems.
For some ppl surgery can help remove or reduce adhesions - for others it's not an option. If you are prone to form adhesions that a surgical intervention can just produce new ones. However there are now some products available to surgeons to reduce or stop the formation of adhesions (scar tissue).
I hope I've answered your short question. If you have addition questions please feel free to ask. We'll do our best to respond.
Take Care,
~Tuck
