sharp shooting pain

i had surgery on my neck in dec last year,they took out c5-c6-c7 n put a metal plate in,for the past 4months ive had severe pain in shoulder,s,top of back n in my head going in2 my face.theyve now put me back on gabapentin 300mg in morning then b4 bedtime,but now im having really sharp shooting n stabbing pain in top of neck n where the metal plate is.i really need some advice plz

If you feel like they are not listening to you then maybe you need to get a second opinion. Call his office and ask the nurse if he can recommend someone for a second opinion. One of two things will happen. He will begin to listen or he will refer you. Either way you win.

ive been back 2 doctor,s n he just said 2 take more morphine n just said its a flare up `this is all they ever say which makes me think their not taking me seriuosly

Hi,
  I am very sorry your having this pain. It sounds like you need to go back and see your Doctor again so he/she can order the needed test to see what is going on.
It may be nerve problems due to the surgery and if that is the case they will have to do some test to find out the severity of the damage and order treatment.
