side of foot pain

Does anyone have a severe pain along the outside of the middle of the foot. painful to touch. mostly hurts in a.m. when i get up in the morning? I have back pain now due to this foot problem any ideas?

p.s. i am a graves thyroid patient, but don't think there is a correlation?

thanks for the replys, will try the epsom salt trick.
I am going to bring it up to my endo when i see her in october.
we shall see. in the mean time, we suffer.

Hi! I have had back pain on my right side from my lower back all the way to my toes.I also have pain in the middle of the outside of my foot. I am a hashimoto's disease thyriod patient.I wonder if the thyroid is to blame.I have been in pain for a year and a half and the doctor's are still trying to figure it out!

I am sorry for you pain. It is difficult to determine the cause of your foot pain. Are you wearing new shoes, or are your shoes worn out? Shoes can play a big role in foot pain.

It makes sense that your back hurts. Any thing that effects the way you shift your weight or walk can throw your back off, into spasms or simple make the muscles ache. And your back can cause foot pain too. Our body structure and function is all intertwined.

The way you describe it makes it sound as if it is close to the arch? Are you doing anything new? Once you are up it sounds as if the exercise of walking works the pain out. It could be related to you Graves Disease in some form.

I would try warm Epsom salt soaks that may at least bring comfort to the area. If it continues I would certainly consult with my physician. I hope the foot pain will soon just be a bad memory. Others will post soon and offer their advice and opinions. Take care and please keep us posted. Tuck
