Hi Again,

If your pain is on top of your thigh that should rule out sciatica. Our major nerves run down the back (posterior) and outside (lateral) portion of your thigh. However we certainly have some nerves in the anterior portion.

I am more inclined to think this may be muscle related. Remember I am not a physician and am far from an expert. If it's been four weeks it's time to consult your PCP. Most strains or sprains will begin to resolve in a few weeks. Please make an appointment and have a clinical evaluation.

I'll look forward to your update.

Good Luck to You,

Hi Minty,

Please provide more information. How long has this been happening? Did you have an injury to the area? Have you consulted your PCP?

"Stinging pain" can be nerve related but not always. What part of your thigh is the pain located...or is it the entire thigh?

Peace,
~Tuck
