Hello and Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Forum. What you went through should never happen to anyone!! I am so sorry.
I am not familiar with Dillions.... and from your experience I hope I never am! This is shameless behavior by ppl that should be medical professionals. I assume you have no choice but to utilize there service. I hope these issues are not representative of all their pharmacies.
As suggested above I would report this to their company headquarters. I would do so by phone, e-mail and a written letter. Each form of communication should note the other correspondence. I would also send a copy of the e-mail and the letter to your PMP.
It's also important to notify your insurance carrier. If this is connected to employment, the Human Resources Manager should also be made aware of the poor Customer Service you experienced.
One should not have to "be quiet" just because we require pain medications. We should never be treated like second class citizens because we have a disease, Chronic Pain. Addicts and Abusers have given us a bad name and placed our every move microscope.
What I will say for the Pharmacist is that they too are under great scrutiny. If the opiate count is "off" it raises huge red flags. It would probably mean a lengthy investigation, discipline and maybe the loss of some one's licenses. I assume some one made a mistake and you are paying for it.
I hope you can find a solution to this. Please keep in touch and let us know how this concludes.
Take Care,
~Tuck
My sister actually used to work in a Walgreen's pharmacy. She told me that most of the pharmacists (she was only a technician) were real jerks. Although, to be fair, several of the stores she worked for had been robbed for oxycotin and other such drugs. And pharmacists are the front line for that; hard to have a sense of humor and knife point. However, Walgreen's is a company. They want customers and know how important relations are with them. So, if you want an apology or for someone to look harder into what they're doing at your particular store, you can report that store to the corporate manager above the store manager. The website should have the number for you.
