He is Great

I have a warm hearted smart full of life child. He is beyond any expectations of anything I ever imagined. He is the kindest and most caring person I ever met. He is 12 yrs old, he will soon be turning 13. I see many changes in him not only in his physical but also in his attitude. I am not overly concerned at this point because I still have it all under control :)  I guess my concern is long term. I hope and pray every day that I as a young single mother am making the right obviously for him? I look for feedback and sometimes advice, but since i had him at such a young age its makes it all the harder to find.
I choose the streets and hanging out and oviously getting pregnant when I was younger. I try to make and base my decision for my own child from that. I feel as though I may at times be to rough on him (is there such a thing) because of my mistakes.
My biggest fear for my son is making the wrong decisions and missing out on the parts of life that I did.

Any feedback?

Sounds as if you have a good handle on this parenting thing, if he is kind and caring you know you are doing the right things , let him bring friends home and visit them at their house.Too much Computer and TV and Game Boy stuff seems to prevent children having the great experience of Sports and Games and other outside activities., so it is good to allow it but limit the use each day.To some extent you can only guide by your actions and hope he makes the right decisions, plenty of talk is good and focusing on his positive side which is what you are doing, congrats you are going int he right direction.
