Seven years old

I have a seven years old boy, oustading student he is in first grade, love to talk, like to make friends, vey open about questions. Just yesterday he popped out what I call scary question to me. All of a sudden he said "mommy I'm I a boy?" and followed and he said he knows for sure he is a boy. I am confused where he gets the idea and the questions from. I talked to him about it alone, he said at first let's forget about it but then, when I aksed him what happen at school, he siad sometime when he screamed his friend talled him he screammed like a girl. My question is what kind of steps shoud I take? I really need help!!!

Dont make an issue of it explain to him that his voice will deepen in a few years, and its okay to scream however he wants to scream, the answer here is not to say any more unless he persists then  just reasure him its okay , a lot of boys do scream like that, you sound as if you were upset by it, he may have picked up on that and it has become more than it needs to be, there for feeding it.
