At one of forum site where I seen this query so can you people help me out...
Can any foster parents in the United States spank? We've yet to find to any evidence that any agency - state or private, allows it. Nonethless we still get many people who claim that they have foster kids, and indeed are allowed to spank. Yet when you ask for specifics - like what agency or state they came from, they can't provide the information. i dont think its a good idea to hit any child, it makes the child fear u not respectd u, if u cant handle the children u shouldnt b foster parents. alot of these children hav already came from abusive homes, why do that to them
I agree most definately hitting, 'spanking' a child does not work and makes children fearful ,it is also sending the message that its okay to hit others and often the children go to school and repeat what they have been taught at home ..
