okay to make a long Story short i have a 10 yr old son me his father got divorce when my son was 4 , he is seeing his dad every other weekend. And now about 3 yrs ago i re married and i have a 14 months old daughter and im 38 weeks pregnant, my son doesn't like my husband, yesterday he was saying. I wanna live with my dad ... i dont want him to live with his dad i spent 10 yr and raised him a good boy and ect... what does the law say im in California, pl help me
Would it be so bad to let him go and stay with his father? I KNOW you LOVE him and have raised him to be a good boy but just as they need their mamas they need their dads as well. Unless your ex is VIOLENT, ABUSIVE, ADDICTED, UNSTABLE, maybe you should consider it! Its what is in HIS best interest and that's a super hard part of parenting sometimes...DOING WHATS BEST FOR THE KIDS EVEN WHEN IT CRUSHES OUR HEARTS! Best of luck to you and please keep us updated!
What exactly is wrong with this child wanting to live with his father? I think that this is relatively normal. Regarding the laws in California, you should best consult with an attorney for advice.
