how to help make my 9 year old child shower alone?

How to help make my 9 year old daughter shower alone? She refuses to go to the toilet to shower without someone to accompany her. Our toilet is a bright, clean and comfortable toilet, but we do not know the reason she would refuse to use it. I also allowed her to open the door while she is showering. But she still complaints about various things like there are ants in the toilet, the water is too cold, light is too dim... etc. What should i do about it? What is her fear? Is it normal for her age to do so? Please advice.

Perhaps you are feeding into it, so let her say there are ants etc just say nothing , it could be she is getting attention from your reaction. You can wait around in the bathroom that wont hurt but when she wont take one you take a privilege away .Shower before TV or a story when she chunners about ants and other things let her ,dont respond , other than to tell her if she doesnt shower she gets no story or TV ,if you dont make a big thing of it it will go away.
