is it normal for boys age 11 and 8 to sleep with their mom

my stepsons are 11 and 8 years old and when they are with their mom for the week she has them they sleep with her in her bed , they have been doing this since birth , and when they are home with us both boys still sleep together in one room and one bed yet they both have seperate bedrooms, is this behavoir inapropriate and should we say something to the mother

I doubt if its inapropriate, for any child to sleep with their mom and many families do in many countries around the world, however I think when they get older its a lot more comfortable to sleep in their own beds, usually once they get to puberty it solves itself as they want privacy. I am assuming you are their stepmom, is it a concern of their Dad ? if it is he would be the one to speak to their mom about them having their own bed, really what they do in their mom's house is up to her, as far as the sleeping arrangements, but he could mention it.As I said as the older one is 11 it may be easier to get him to sleep alone now he is growing up,.Good luck
