nail biting

by trish1973, Nov 03, 2009 03:01PM
my 6 yrs old son is in first grade, since the summer right after his 6th birthday, he started to bite his finger nails and lately nuckles and finger tips. I caught him reaching for his toe nails too..otherwise he is very normal child, very sweet and obedient, I hate to tell him to stop biting his nails because he himself is frustrated of not being able to stop nail biting. we tried over the counter thumb and stopease. His doctor tells me to just let go and not be worried. I am worried please help me to help him. (I have a new born baby can that add up to his anxiety?)
