need advice

My 9other year old little girl ran away lastnight she was found and brought home safe. Thank God, but now Im not sure what to do. She said she ran away cause she wanted attention. I home school her so her and I have time everyday. She also informed me that she dont like me being remarried. Her father past away 2 years ago today. And we were not together for 5 years prior to him passing cause of him having a drug problem. My question is what do I do? Im at the end of my rope. I dont know what to do. I have her in cousling but she wont talk. I found a scared stright program but thats not till Dec. Please any advice I will take to heart. Sorry this so long.

He said that at this age they tend not to let people into their little worlds. We have foumd her a female Cousler so maybe we will have a break through. I pray something has got to give.

What has the counselor to say has he any input on why she is so upset ?

Yes I home school her, she does vey well in school. She get along with siblings and my husband. Thats what make this so confussing. I have her with a Cousler and no she wont talk to them, all she does is sits their. I have tried so many different things and nothing seems to work. Im scared she going to run away again, and something bad is going to happen. I dont sleep cause i check to see if she is in her bed .often. im all stressed over this hole situation.

sorry I see you home school her, when you say she wont talk you mean to the counselor, how does she get on with her husband , her step dad I think you  say you are remarried .

BTW,  rzenk,  I don't think "scared straight" is appropriate for a 9 year old girl from a broken home who is trying to cry out for help.

Maybe a group for children from broken homes,  where she can get together with them and try to talk out their pain?

When a young child does this its a cry for help, in my opinion, something going on that upsets her, what is she like at school, does she get on okay with her stepdad okay .Are there other siblings,?
