is it alright mentally physically spiritually and morally for my eleven yr old grandson to sleep with his father  when he comes to visit.  We havent seen him in seven yrs and my son  has  a girlfriend that lives with him however we dont want him to feel left out so they can form a bond together during his short visit of 2 wks .The girlfrpiend can sleep in another room, also how much time should be given to the girlfriend should she be apart of everything or step back and give the time to be alonel

If sleeping in the same bed is just for the sake of bonding, just have the child sleep on a twin bed nearby.  It might be too odd to him, and he might need his space anyway if he hasn't seen the father in 7 years.

I wouldn't have the girlfriend overnight during this time.  She can come around and be involved in meals and stuff, but not much more intensity at this point.

Just my opinion.  The dad might also talk to a child counselor, to see how 11-year-olds react to things like this.
