Im a 14 year old and im getting voice cracks very often, is it normal?

Hello, I'm 14 years of age and about 3 month ago I started noticing that every time i speak my voice is cracking the whole time I'm speaking. My mom says its normal but I don't find it as a normal voice crack. I hear my voice as if its coming out of my nose and its not very clear when I talk. I always get asked if I'm sick because I sound like I am. I'm not sure if this will go away or my voice will go back to normal. At school I do notice voice cracks from my friends but non of them are like mine. Please help.

This is an absolutely normal part of male puberty and each male experiences this differently. Your voice is changing and dropping to a lower voice.  If it still continues after a year or so I'd be concerned, or if you lose your voice, but right now you sound perfectly normal. Don't worry. Your voice cracks don't have to sound like anybody else's. :)

Additionally, (if this makes you feel better) your voice cracks will sound different to you because you are hearing them both from within and without your body. For everyone else, you are only hearing them from without. Theirs might sound similar to yours...to them. :)
Im quiet and shy and I sometimes barely hear my voice or it just wont come out does that mean im losing my voice? and this has been going on for about 6 month now
