My 17 year old has been diagnosed with bulima and she has canker sores

My 17 year old was diagnosed with bulimia nervosa a few weeks ago, and yesterday i found out she hadnt stopped. Im watching her closely like my 14 year old, but it had gotten to the point that her fingers were blistering from the acid, and she passed out from it. I cought her doing it yesterday again, and she has a canker sore on the inside of her cheek, and im wondering could her old rutine of puging 2 or more times a day be linked to idk the 3 canker sores shes had over the past almost two years?

It's normal to be cautious about your child, it's only right. But, don't take it to the point of stalking. Trust me, canker sores are completely normal. They can be triggered by stress, poor nutrition, food allergies and menstrual periods. It's up to you to decide if it truly is the "Poor Nutrition" part.

Your daughter won't immediately stop purging just because she's been diagnosed.  It is a serious psychological illness that needs constant, continued therapy and support to diminish.  The canker sores are the least of her concerns at this point.

Take it from me, I have been suffering from bulimia for 8 years. Don't push her, don't bother her about it. She can only stop when she's ready. Whether she wants to or not, she can only do it once she has accepted she needs the help and needs to be cured. If you push her to stop, it will make it worse and you will quite possibly push her away from you.
