TV

How much TV do you allow your teenagers to watch?  My daughter is 14 and watches 1-2 hours a day which I think is way too much.  She gets all her homework done and exercises 4x per week so she is not a couch potatoe.  Just curious to hear from other parents.  Thanks!

As long as my son has all his homework done, eaten dinner, and his grades are A's & B's, and he has helped with the kitchen, I don't give him a time limit. He is in bed at 10pm during the school week, during the weekend does not matter what time he goes to bed, unless he has a sports games the following day. He is not a couch potatoe either, he plays baseball, football & attends a work out gym four days a week. He is 16yrs old though.

I would say he watches 1-2hrs of TV an evening, sometimes less if his sports game was out of town. We do not allow for the TV to be on during dinner.

Like I said, if his grades are good and his homework done, I don't give him a limit, BUT he must be in bed at 10pm during the school week.
