sleep

i have a 10 yr old daughter who has lots of anxiety related issues. sleep/weight/look/hair/friends/achievements at school etc etc etc. she has always been this way so it is now a chronic situation. we have been seeing a Psychotherapist
for CBT therapy.  we are fairly on top of most of the issues for the time being but sleep keeps rearing its ugly head. she has never been a good sleeper. always had trouble getting off as a baby, stopped daytime naps early, always woke at 5am, this has continued pretty much to now. we have seen all the sleep clinics and done all they advise, however in the last year or two she is unable to get off to sleep. always had bedtime routine, now reads/draws/listens to relaxation cd but can sometimes be awake ( and very distressed) until 1.00am somenights which with a full day at school ahead causes her huge worries/anxiety. she is now on melatonin which helps a little. but really finding it hard still  "all i want to do is sleep mummy" what do you say?? help any other ideas. thank you

No, I do not have any ideas but I do know that sleep is a big issue with anxiety sufferers.  Have you tried asking this question on the "Anxiety Forum"?  Perhaps someone there might be able to offer more insight.  Just wondering ....
