stomach pain

my daughter has sharp pain just below her ribcage to the left . It hurts more when you touch it . This is the third time in recent weeks .

Does it only last for a few seconds? And then go away? Does it feel like a "pinching"? If so, it could be Precordial Catch Syndrome.

I've been suffering with excruciating pain just under the left side of my rib cage for 5 years - I can't sit down on bend over without being in absolute agony. Is there any particular position that makes her pain any worse?
