2 year old vomiting at night

My daughter is two years old and this past Sunday she woke up vomiting. At the time we thought that most likely she had gotten into some bad food because her Father had picked her up a chicken tenders kids meal late that night when the place was about to close. Well she fell back to sleep that morning and when she woke back up she was fine. She was playing and running and laughing all day. She even rode a carousel! Well that night (Sunday)while she was sleeping she threw up again. She also threw up when she woke up that morning. When I say she's throwing up I'm not just talking about a small amount like spit up she is throwing up a lot. Well after she threw up that first time monday morning she was fine again all day and just as happy as could be. Again on monday night and Tuesday morning she threw up again.
I have been nursing my daughter every since she was born and I'm wondering if there is any way possible that somehow my milk is making her sick. She nurses a little during the day still but mostly at night because she sleeps in the same bed with me. She uses it to go back to sleep when she wakes up and to fall asleep in the first place. I don't think that it is the chicken anymore because it seems like that would keep her sick all day and not just at night. Thanks for any help you can give.

This is no solution, but it may help mitigate some of the less extreme cases.

Zoro,

My daughter is 3 and had the flu or some virus then had started throwing up only at night. I gave her benadryl per the doctor. 1 teaspoon at bedtime and she stopped. I did that for a few days and she then slept without it fine. This was a month ago. She has had a little bit of a runny nose the past few days and the lining of her nose is swollen. The doctor said it is a post nasal drip that is causing it because she threw up again yesterday. I am going to try the humidifier in her room because I read it helps break up the mucus and then I will take her back off the benadryl. I also noticed it seems to help to keep her from getting too hot. The benadryl is a short term fix but I know it is from the heat. Hope it passes soon and hope this helps someone.

My 5 year old daughter was just released from the hospital on December 8th after a similar illness.  She started throwing up on November 29th, but only from late afternoon until bedtime.  She would throw up so much that she would be exhausted and crash hard.  She would sleep all night, then wake up and be her normal self. She went to school and was fine. She would come home fine, and then as if someone flicked a switch, she would be very sick again.  Never accompanied by fever, cough, loss of appetite, or any other flu-like symptoms, just vomiting. She was taken to the ER on December 5th.  They tried gravol and advil and nothing worked. They tried an anti-nausea medication used for chemo patients and post surgery patients, for the most part it worked. She didn't vomit everyday, but she is still getting sick about every other afternoon. We were told that it might possibly be CVS, similar to migraines, but affecting the stomach instead. So either CVS or a very bad virus? I am getting worried, anyone have any answers?
