3 1/2 yr old poops only in sleep

hi,
I have a healthy 3 1/2 yr old son . He is potty trained for almost an yr now. he has not had a single accident
the only problem is tht he'll not poop during the day. I hae tried everything bribing , stories he gives a fit whn asked to poop. But as soon as the sleeps he'll poop. at times as sooon as he sleep i take him to the bathroom and he poops sitting he is not awake before or after the process. but on most of the days he poops in his diaper during the night
I m expecting my second one and this is driving me nuts .pl help
