3 Year Old needs speech

Hi I have a 3 year old son who only put 2-3words together to talk. I took him to an ENT because I thought it was because of his hearing Well to make a long story short. they say he needs speech therphy   I can take him to speech 1-2 days a week or I can take him to Headstart which is a program to get him ready to go to preK and they will do speech to help him to talk as well which will help him to learn as well SO should i just take him to speech for now or should I put him in the headstart program which is normal school hours 8-2:30

If he where my child I would put him in speech first, let him catch up with and vocus on that . Just an opinion, plenty of time for head start before he start K,  head start teaches many things . Speech would just be speech, Id cure that problem , before stinulating him with other things, that if he cant hear could possibly be frustrating and set off a whole string of other problems. like not likeing school, etc...

At Headstart are they speech therapists?.....I would take him to speech to see what they will do for him....Maybe if it not much maybe they can show you so you could do with him and pass it on to the teachers at Headstart....Sometimes children being around other children helps...But I don't know what he is having trouble with...Best of luck
