4 year old playing with self

by uneasyparent, Nov 25, 2008 10:48PM
my 4 year old daughter when she was younger would rock back and forth on her belly as if humping as you could call it, but now she has put her hands down there as if she is now stimulating herself i have no idea what to do about this and i am worried she will do it in school during there nap time. is this normal for a child her age to play with themselves?

Yes it is normal. You mite want to explain to her that she needs to do that in private in her room and not in front of people. My son who is also 4 plays with himself and I just told him it is okay if you want to do that but do it in your room or in your bathroom so people cant see you mommy doesnt need to see that and he quit(he will go to the bathroom and say he is peeing)
