My toddler constantly hits his head

I have a 17 month old that is so clumsy and always hitting his head. He cries for a second afterwards and then seems fine. My main concern is that he is doing this all the time. He will be running and trips and then hits his head on the wall, the table even chairs. I am so worried that he will end up fracturing his skull or causing some kind of brain damage. Am I just worrying too much or should I have his head examined?

I think you are worrying too much my two year old hits his head all of the time and it is due to their uncorrdinated walking/running.
