NAIL BITING

by brindy1, Oct 22, 2008 05:29AM
Hi,
My daughter who is 3years old has just started school (playgroup).  After she started school, she has developed a habit of biting her nails (sometimes her skin).  I have tried all measures to stop this, but its not working.  She seems very clingy in a new setting.  Is this related to stress or anxiety.  How do I get rid of this habit??

Yes, nail biting can be related to stress and anxiety.  See my post below to your other question.  By the way, the nail biting will "go away" when the anxiety is lessened.  But the difficult question is always "how to lessen the anxiety".
