Pain from injections for toddler

by sa0912fc, Nov 03, 2008 02:08AM
Please could anyone help?  My two year old son has had the first of three injections yesterday, he is due for another today and tomorrow. He does not take meds orally, hence the need for antibiotic injections to treat ear infection in both ears. He is limping and finding it painful, even thou he was injected yesterday.  I am dreading the next two dosages, he is really feeling poorly, is there anyone who could give me a few ideas how to make him more comfortable? Also how to minimise the trauma of the other two injections? Thanks.

ice pack to the injection site? maybe Arnica gel from the health food store- it's a natural anti-inflammatory
