random ? anyone found private disability ins that covers maternity leave?
ive heard its rare that a privately issued short term disability policy covers maternity leave. my company offers a policy that covers it, but i was denied due to a history of anxiety. has anyone found a private company that covers a normal maternity leave?
i agree. i have begun the appeal process and hopefully i will get somewhere. my husband and i have a savings plan in place that will more than cover my maternity leave aside from any disability, but of course we will be much better off with some income coming in. i get 12 weeks of unpaid leave through my company, and i fully plan to take advantage unless i can't pay the bills. i have a call in to northwestern mutual, who says they have a broker who may be able to help me so fingers crossed
