Mother in law 85yo PD misdiagnosed?

hello there:
I'm an user from other forum, but since it has worked so well for me in the past, I would like to post a question on behalf of my mother in law. She's 85 yo, and she was diagnosed mild PD 4 years ago and she has been taking Sinemet ever since (3 pills 100mg levodopa a day). We live in Spain so we take them to Social Security and the doctors do not agree in diagnoses. One says it not PD at all (cause she moves her arms while walking among other things) and the other one says is a mild form of PD???. Both have recommened a reduction in dosage (not to stop cold turkey). One says half a pill reduction a week and the other one half a pill a month?
However, I have noticed that she feels worse right after taking sinemet (stomach pains, gases, postural inbalance)...Can anyone suggest how have they manage a sinemet dosage reduction for an elderly patient that has no tremor in hands or other PD simptoms??

Thanks in advance for the response
