"breakthrough" treatment for PD?

My mom told me there was a story about "breakthrough treatment in PD" on tv last thursday on the morning news on the Today Show. Did anyone listen/see it?

Perhaps you mean deep brain stimulation.

If you google the term you will find more clinical articles on the topic as well. There are also a number of clinical studies on various treatments not FDA approved yet that do appear to be promising.

There was also a report in the past week saying that spinal cord stimulation (instead of deep brain stimulation) showed promise.

Hey everyone, you should all check out Punta Pacifica, a division of Johns Hopkins down in Panama city,Panama. Cleaner and more advance than any U.S. hospital. They are currently performing the stem cell transplant procedure for parkinson's and more! I am so sick and tired of taking all the many meds to keep me going! I am planning a trip to have the procedure done as I type this comment.
