So Disappointed in MedHelp

I would have thought that when a new board is opened and advertised,  that you would have made sure that people who are asking questions that are so important to them, and who may be very frightened, would get a timely answer. While I think it is lovely for doctors to devote their time and energy to a board like this, and I am sure they are very busy, I do think waiting 2 weeks(or longer)to answer the patient,  is too long. Big disappointment MedHelp!

First of all thank you so much for your opinion and for your explanation both to my question about LVI and the delay in answering. I'm sure that part of my frustration is that we are dealing with a very serious diagnosis for our daughter and that may have made me a bit impatient. I apologize. While I only waited week, there are patients here that waited two weeks for their questions to be answered. Perhaps a disclaimer statement up top would be helpful so people don't expect answers to always come quickly.

Again, I do appreciate your answer. It made me feel much better.

The original post was March 13th.  This is far from being two weeks (or longer) in response time.

Hi there,
I'm very apologetic for your disappointment in this site and in my lack of a timely response.  With my schedule I can usually only answer questions on my non-call weekends.  From what I remember you were asking about lymphatic invasion in breast cancer but free to correct me.  To simplify things lymphatic invasion is relatively inconsequential with positive lymph nodes as the cancer uses the lymphatic channels to gain access to the lymph nodes.  If the nodes were negative I think this would be more significant, but in this case tumor cells have already spread to the lymph nodes.  I hope this helps.
