SVT Ablation Question

I am 16 and was diagnosed with narrow complex SVT when I was 7. My episodes are few (3 to 5 a year) but severe (my record HR is 285). I can usually control my episodes using the Valsalva maneuvers given to me by my cardiologist, and I've only been to the ER once (they gave me adenosine and I was great!). Because my episodes are few and far between, I never really planned on having the ablation procedure, but on a recent check up, my cardiologist said that after I turn 18, SVT becomes a pre-existing condition, thus making getting health insurance a pain. Basically, I want to know (from those who have experience on ANY side) exactly what the procedure could entail, the risks, and (most importantly, to me) the time frame during which one discovers whether or not the procedure actually worked. I don't want to have 4 different ablation procedures before I turn 18, as that doesn't look pretty on my "record."

Thanks so much for the help!!
