hello I have a question for my 5 yr old son, his blood pressurePressure ulcer fluctuates.. When he stands up his blood pressurePressure ulcer is normalNormal saline flush, when he sits it drops 20 points and when he lays down it drops 20 more points at one time when his nurologists checked his blood pressurePressure ulcer while laying down his blood pressurePressure ulcer read 52 over 42, he went too a pediatric cardiologists, they done tests and he wore a heart moniter for 30 days, but they never really got back in touch with us we had too call about everyday too get the results.. They said that the right side of his heart is enlargedEnlarged adenoids Enlarged prostate and he has a heart murmor but nothing too worry about.. But my question is could that do his blood pressure like that, because his blood sugar levels fluctuates real bad too.. Could all the fluctuating of his blood pressure and sugar be tied in together. or a totally different thing.. The doctors has done nothing but give us a run around he has passed out before of high blood sugar levels.. He is also up and down all night whinning could it be from his bllod pressure dropping while he is laying down or both his blood pressure and sugar levels fluctuating at the same time. I'm confused, i don't know what to do or where too turn he has been too many drs. and Most of the drs, around here won't see him because his A1-C tests comes out normal and they don't act too concern about his blood pressure.. Should I be worried is it nothing too worry about!! We as the parents are frustrated, can't get no help from nobody..
I would certainly insist that my child be seen by a pediatric cardiologist. You want to know exactly why his right side of the heart is enlarged. That chamber recieves the blood back from the body. The good news is that it is not the 'pumping' chamber forcing blood out to the body. If you have a University Hospital, go there. A lot of your average pediatricians have never seen children with heart issues like your son has. The sugar levels, as far as I'm aware, would have nothing to do with the heart issues. Why is your son being followed by a neurologist?
