i am a mom from albania. when my girl wos 2 weeks her grondmother squeeze her breast and the breast become swollen and redness.
the doctor did a incision. naw she is OK (is 5 month old) but i am preocupatet for the future. thiss situation can affect problems in the future breast development? have newborne mastitis any relation with cancer breast. please help me to be calm. thank you

newborn babies can have some enlargement of their breast buds due to mom's estrogen and this is normal, if it is irritated it can enlarge and secrete milk, do not squeeze the area, it may have gotten infected, if it is healed you should be fine, do not worry about later development of breast cancer at this age.
