7 year old with temp of 101.heartrate of 161

My grandaughter is sick with temp and rapid heartbeat. I dont know what the heartrate of a child should be? Should we be alarmed at this heartrate or is this a normal rate?

Everyone's heart rate will increase with fever.  Of course the cause of the fever will be important to decide if the increased heart rate is excessive or not.  She should be evaluated by her pediatrician.

Sometimes when LO's have high temps then their heart rate can go up.If you are concerned then you should call her ped just to make sure.
