Unfortunately you do not provide enough information to comment in an accurate fashion.  If your child is 15 months old, and requires both an atrial septal defect closure and a tricuspid valve repair, it sounds like something more complex is going on here.  It would be best to seek specific answers to your questions directly from your child's cardiologist and heart surgeon. Part of their job is to explain your child's condition to you in a way that is understandable, and review the risks and benefits of any procedure performed.  Good luck.
