They told me it looks like she has an enlarged heart .I have to see a specialist in 2 weeks. What does that mean? How bad is it? What causes this?
She is my 5th child I never had issues with my other pregnancies.
Cardiac enlargement during pregnancy can be due to several things. It can be due to obstruction of the heart. It can also be due to an abnormal heart rhythm, anemia, or an infection of the fetus. It will be very important to know if the heart function is decreased, or not. There are a lot of unanswered questions here that can't be determined until a fetal echocardiogram is performed on the baby's heart.
