What your hospital is doing, by refusing little Amelia R. a kidney transplant because of her disability is criminal, and I will not rest until every single social outlet or media outlet knows poor Amelias story and the role your hospital is playing in allowing her life to end prematurely.

While we remain unable to comment on individual CHOP patients or cases due to laws that protect patient privacy, we wish to state that we do not disqualify potential transplant candidates on the basis of intellectual abilities. We have transplanted many children with a wide range of disabilities, including physical and mental disabilities.
