14 months old weight 20 lb n has big belly

i have a 13 months old son. He is picky eater. He doesnt gain weight. He'll be 14 months next week but he still weight 20 lbs. Im trying everything to make him eat and gain a little weight but it seems not working. What happen is the his belly is the one getting bigger not him. Im worried about him. What i do to make sure he was able to fill up with something is that i mixed gerber cereal on his milk. He drinks whole milk now. Pls help..

hi there, first of all what did your peditrician say ? second of all I think 20 lbs for a 14 month old is pefect . my daughter is 3 yrs 7 mths and she is 28 1/2 lbs . for a long time it took me to get her to this weight because she was really underweight but healthy. she was a picky eater too. my GI suggest a medical food call DUOCAL , it is safe , nothing to worry about , no side effect , it is a powder suppliment that you add in their milk , food , water , juice etc, it add calories . I tried it and it worked for my daughter, she gain 10 lbs but it is a little pricy and only online you can buy it. maybe you should have your peditrician referred you to a GI and asked him about it, hope this info help you.
