2yo, almost daily high fevers, need help - PLEASE

I'm hoping someone can help me with some ideas or recommendations because I'm at wits end. I can't take the worrying and anxiety on top of feeling so terrible for my son. I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking the worst and once my son is asleep and I have a moment to myself I can't help but get teary eyed.

My son is two. He seems to always be sick. He has always had frequent fevers but the last few months have been terrible. He was getting at least a fever every week or 5 days or so. Last month his fever was off and on for a week and we ended up taking him to the emergency room because he had a fever of 106.2 degrees Fahrenheit (2 different thermometers and different routes). The hospital brushed it off, pumped him up with Tylenol and Ibuprofen (alternating each every 2 hours) and sent us on our way. After a few days he was back to normal. Now for the past 2 weeks we've been dealing with a ferocious cycle of fevers. He started all of a sudden with a fever of 103.2, got up to almost 105 that evening, the same with the next day. Then the third day he was fine. Day after that back with the high fevers then it goes away again for a short while. It just keeps happening. The doctor said he has coxsackie virus and sent us on our way after the second day of fevers but when we took him back a few days later they said his throat was looking much better and that now he probably picked up another virus or something. A week 1/2 into it he's back at the doctor because of these fevers and they blow us off saying, again, it's something viral. I finally demanded some lab work to be done which we just went for today (and I do need to say I couldn't have been prouder of my little guy, not even a single tear and they took 5 vials of blood!) and also are doing a urinalysis & got a sinus culture too. Got some of the results back already and they said they are all within normal limits but all day he has been in the 102-104 range (unless it's down from tylenol or motrin - but as soon as his meds ware off his temperature is right back up) and i'm growing more and more frustrated as to why a normal healthy child would constantly have these fevers. also, he tends to vomit at least once a month also when he has these fevers though i think it might be from taking medicine on an empty stomach. he isn't eating well when he has these fevers which also worries me because it's so often and hasn't played much with any of his toys in about a week. his new schedule is waking up around 9:30, taking an hour to 2 hour nap around 2:30/3 and then going to bed at 9:00pm. The other day he went to bed at 8:30, slept until I woke him at 11:45am, napped from 2:30 until 4:00 and then went back to bed at 9:00. I'm so worried about him it's making me feel sick. He does not go to daycare or anything like that so it's not that he's just picking this up - he's with me at home all day every day! I hope someone can offer me some insight or something because I can't take the unknown. I'm freaking out thinking the worst and fearing for my child's health and well being.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I would make an appointment with a specialist for your son. Take him to see an immunologist. They can look over his symptoms and do a physical exam to look for any clues. Good luck!
